1990 Ford Ranger 2.9 V6 5Spd auto locking hubs. When I push the button on the dash, the 4×4 indicator lites up and I can hear clicking noises from the module behind the drivers seat, but the front end won’t pull. If I then push the button for 4 low, the indicator flashes for a few seconds, then goes out. is this a problem with the electric motor on the transfer case, or is there something else wrong? I don’t think it could be the hubs, cause there have never been any strange noises from the front end itself. Everything worked great till I replaced the transmission.

Put it on computer and that is what showed up. Can it be ran without changing it and what does it look like. How hard is it to change? Also when I go to put the car in gear it dies on me can anyone tell me what this could be, had to change ingnition coil this weekend and it started this after that.
The engine is a 3.8 Liter V6

There is a jimmy-rigged air flow for the engine of my 1990 Toyota Celica GTS. I would like to order the correct parts, but can’t find a parts diagram on the web so I can figure out the right part to order. It’s on the right hand side, going from the engine to the right front of the frame. The connection near the frame is rounded rectangular. I believe the connection to the engine is round, about 5″ diameter. Do you know what the part(s) are that I need to order?
It is a 2.2L engine. The part is the air flow/cold air intake. The current system looks like 5″ x 6″ plumbing fittings linked together. The filter on the end looks like the standard filter.

Can it be cleaned?
Also, is the Mass Airflow Sensor part of this system?

My 1990 needs a new blower motor, and can get a good on on ebay, but it’s from a 92′. I know both are similar since my father has a 92′ but I thought i’d ask you techies anyway. =)
