How do you find a preacher to baptize your children if you don’t really go to church every Sunday?

Sunday, September 27th, 2009

It’s kind of embarrassing but, I really don’t attend church much. But, I know my children need to be baptized. How do I go about it? What do I say to a preacher that I don’t even know? Will he understand?

What is more important to children time or money?

Friday, September 25th, 2009

Do you think a poor family who spends lots of time and loves their children but can’t spend much money now or in the future for their children is better or worse for kids than a family who doesn’t spend time with their kids but still loves them and has a lot of money they are willing to spend on them now and in the future.

What about the effect that misled feminism has on children?

Wednesday, September 16th, 2009

I know that misled feminists not only don’t care about how guys are negatively effected by misled feminism, they actually revel in it. But, what if they reminded themselves of the effect that misled feminism has on children? What is misled feminism? Primarily double standards & supporting/participating in mistreatment of men as if it were political action.
Broken homes, unnecessary verbal spats, passive-aggression, bad-mouthing, children that grow up to have problems with their relationships,…………..
The lack of knowledge about/recognition of misled feminism is disturbing. Most of the answers indicate that it’s negligible. It’s not.

Does the Media encourage young children to grow up too quickly?

Wednesday, September 16th, 2009

This is for a critical research study.

I am specifically studying the effect “Bratz” has on young children but I would really like to hear broadened views on the general media, and if it encourages children to grow up too quickly. Thanks.

How can I donate toys and picture books to children in Africa?

Sunday, September 6th, 2009

This question has been asked here before with people suggesting looking into UNICEF, dba.darien.org, and the Peace Corps. None of these seem set up to simply receive and thoughtfully direct donations of boxes of simple toys and children’s books — things that are not as essential as food and medicine, but are at least things I have and many fewer kids in America lack access to. I am willing to pay for shipping and to pack and label boxes, etc.. I just need help finding people to direct the mailings to.

How will you address important topics with your young children?

Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009

Today’s world is full of so many dangers that I could probably create a book of topics that I will talk to my daughter about as she grows. She is currently 2, and already we have started “discussions” about topics that unfortunately I think are necessary for kids to start hearing about at a very early age. How old are your kids, and to you, what are the most important topics that you discuss with them? Is there anything you talk to your children about now that you don’t think parents did 30 years ago?
I am asking in reference to your own parenting and what topics are important to you. I’m just curious to see answers, I am not looking for “guidance”, as I already know what is important for me to teach my own child.
