Ok so i play alot of Rock-A-Billy but do not want an upright bass (too Big) so is there anything out there that isnt gonna cost me an arm and a leg that’ll give me the sound ?

Oh and it has to look the part too !!!

I dont know if it’s the type of strings I use, but when I drop down to D or lower the strings dont stay in tune so well.

How does a guitar player jam with a bass player?
I’ve recently learned to play guitar. My brother in law knows a few bass runs. My question: How do I play/jam with him? How do I know what to play (what key, chords) while watching what he’s doing?
We both sound pretty good alone, but we don’t know how to sound good together. Not much of a theory guy, but if that’s the way it must be…

Cause I was looking at something for the band tokio hotel and it had both of them listed as using the guitar but one with bass? what does it mean?

I noticed the volume dial on my bass guitar got loose a couple months ago and I couldn’t figure out a way to tighten it so I didn’t do anything. Today I went to adjust the volume and it stopped working all together. I think one of the wires came undone by the looks of the insides but how to I take the dial off so I can tighten it back on? Or is that even possible.

ive played acoustic bass and id like to try electric, does anyone know any links for good brands or what kind i should get? i don’t think id be playing much jazz if that narrows it down.
